Take a deep breath: you\u2019ve taken all the measures to protect it\u2026right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven\u2019t already, here are some tips on mobile security for the next time you leave it in a coffee shop or washroom stall (we\u2019ve all done it once).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Put a passcode on it.<\/strong> Yes, it locks every minute or so but this will make it harder for others to get into your phone.<\/li><li><strong>Locate it \u2013 duh!<\/strong> Some smartphones have the capability of being tracked by another device. If you\u2019re able to add that capability, you may find your mobile on the beach where you left it!<\/li><li><strong>Wipe it clean \u2013 not (just) literally. <\/strong>If you think someone has your smartphone, sometimes you can set up a remote wipe. Remember to have a backup of personal items so you can do so confidently.<\/li><li><strong>Fight the urge.<\/strong> Public Wi-Fi is not secure, so be attentive to what you\u2019re using it for.
